JIM & CHERYL SEMON IMPACT AWARD

Jim & Cheryl Semon Impact Award

During each Hall of Fame Dinner, Anthony has the honor of presenting the Jim & Cheryl Semon Impact Award to a deserving member of the community who supports the mission and values of the Foundation and is dedicated to impacting the lives of youth. The winner of this award epitomizes all that Jim and Cheryl meant to the life of Anthony. When Anthony was six years old, Jim, then the Director of Parks and Recreation in Ontario, California and his wife Cheryl, gave Anthony his first baseball glove. Little did they know, at the time he was giving so much more to Anthony. Not having a solid role model, Anthony looked up to Jim. Ultimately, Jim became Anthony’s high school baseball coach and he and Cheryl continued to provide the guidance he needed to succeed in life. After Cheryl passed in 2021, the award’s name was changed to honor her memory as well as Jim.

Congratulations to our 2026 Jim & Cheryl Semon Impact Award Recipient!

Dave and Debbie Browne have been consistent, long-term supporters of many local & national organizations that strive to make a difference in lives. In fact, they met 40+ years ago serving at a Juvenile Diabetes Bikeathon. Dave was part of the AMF founding board, and he and Debbie have been supporters for 25 years. Dave & Debbie align their lives strongly with the AMF vision of making an Impact for Eternity.

Dave leveraged his business platform as CEO of LensCrafters to help thousands of local children, and over 1 million worldwide, with the “Gift of Sight”—free eyeglasses/exams—which was honored by President George W. Bush with one of his original Points of Light awards, and by President Bill Clinton with the President’s Volunteer Action award. At Family Christian Stores, Dave founded the James Fund that helped hundreds of orphans find their forever homes and provided support for thousands of widows. Dave currently serves on the board of Athletes in Action and Luke 5 Adventures.

Debbie serves on the Board of Directors of Mom’s Hope, a local mentoring ministry to single moms. She also serves on the Board of Cross My Heart Ministry and is a long-term member of Kindervelt.

Dave and Debbie have supported many local organizations that reach thousands of children and adults annually. These include Athletes in Action, Back 2 Back ministries, Grace Chapel, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Teen Challenge, Ronald McDonald House, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, Folds of Honor and the Tim Tebow Foundation.

“We are very honored and moved by receiving this award. We have great respect and love for Anthony and Dede and admire their dedication to making a difference in our community. To be recognized with an award that is so meaningful to them is very, very special.”
We are proud to be able to honor Dave and Debbie’s legacy of dedication and unwavering commitment to making a difference in our community this Sunday. Congratulations Dave & Debbie and thank you for making an “Impact for Eternity”!
